Should I buy a Lightweight Ghillie Suit?
Paintball, snipers, hunters and airsoft players wear ghillie suits. They are worn as camouflage by hunters and snipers to blend with their surroundings and carry out their stealth operations without letting their enemies spot them. Additionally, these suits can also be used by military personnel and the law enforcement agencies. These suits are used to prevent and mislead the enemy or prey.
Even though, the ghillie is meant to protect you from the danger, they can also result in discomfort if not chosen properly; discomfort in ghillies can compromise the location or position of a sniper or hunter and results can be fatal. Therefore, certain safety measures must be ensured before wearing the your ghillie. When you use your ghillie for combat or hunting, they can get really hot. This depends on the material that the suit is manufactured with. For instance, synthetic thread or natural jute or burlap are often used to manufacture ghillies. They can weigh pretty heavy, and can be a cause of discomfort for the wearer. You must be comfortable with the weight of your ghillie suit as you may have to carry it around for hours or even days. This is the main reason why lightweight ghillie suits are very popular with airsoft, & paintball enthusiasts, along with sniper professionals. Lightweight Ghillie Suits can weigh as low as 3 -5 pounds and are made from synthetic thread, that is extremely effective like the jute or burlap. Other advantages of the lightweight suits are that they are odorless, washable, non allergic and anti mildew.
The lightweight ghillies are also known as special ops paintball or hunter, sniper ghillie suits. These are found complete with a hooded jacket and pants set. There are two kinds of patterns found in these suits - woodland and mossy. They are available in 3 sizes M, L and XL.
The interior shell of these suits is extremely comfortable and they are created with No-See-Um fabric for the inner lining and have the softest mesh that you will ever find in any other suit. There is 3/4 inch netting sewn on the mesh and synthetic threads are attached later. This ghillie is comfy that you just have to wear a t-shirt inside it.
The pants have drawstrings that can also be found in the ankle, hood and the waist. These drawstrings are placed so that you can adjust the comfort level according to your choice and hold the suit tightly against your body. The pants also have belt loops that give you the extra comforts.
These lightweight ghillies are available in two kinds of color patterns; mossy and woodlands. There are different patterns in the woodland lightweight suits. The green can vary from very green to dark and in the mossy patterns the colors can vary from the olive green to tan and black. In the real bushrag version you will not be able to find these in many colors. The mossy colors are also different but they also appear very well.
Of all the kinds of ghillies you will find that the lightweight suits work very well with all the money that you have spent. They are very comfortable to wear and extremely less in weight. You as a hunter would definitely want to choose the lightweight suits as you will have to travel a lot and would want to keep yourself cool and light!

Huh. That's interesting. It seems to me the comforter would bunch up around the edges - but maybe I'm wrong. If you trust or believe the person who said so in the first place - then go for it. Let us know how it works out.
